Things to Do in Vancouver
Vancouver is located adjacent to the water with a backdrop of mountains which make it a very beautiful city. Among the places to see in Vancouver are Stanley Park with Native totem poles and beautiful views, including a view of Lions Gate Bridge. Other sites include Gastown, which was Vancouver's earliest business district that has been restored with many shops and galleries, Lookout Observatory at Harbour Centre and Granville Island. Vancouver has the second largest Chinatown in North America.
Grouse Mountain is the backdrop to Vancouver with a skyride to the alpine area at the top. In the wintertime you can enjoy snowshoeing, ice skating and sleigh rides. In the summer, visit the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife with resident grizzly bears and wolves and see the Lumberjack Show, Birds in Motion demonstrations and much more.
If you need a few days out of the city, take a two day trip to the islands for wine tasting and a visit to Victoria.
